Ideal Skills and Experiences of Interim Executives:

  • At least 10 years of senior nonprofit leadership experience, including executive-level roles
  • A track record of navigating growth, turnaround, or organizational change
  • Strong skills in staff management, board engagement, fundraising, and operational oversight
  • Excellent communication and emotional intelligence
  • Experience in interim, consulting, or project-based leadership (preferred but not required)
  • Flexibility, humility, and a deep commitment to nonprofit missions
