RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently develop high quality credit analysis with a focus on business rationale, key risks, sources of repayment, projections and returns & profitability.

  • Participate in preparation of underwriting materials, manage overall creation and submission of credit approval memo (CAM), approve CAMs and secure risk approvals.

  • Establish appropriate internal risk ratings for clients and implement accurate risk rating adjustments throughout the life of the loan.

  • Independently assess new credit request, balance risk/return and make justifiable recommendations.

  • Communicate with senior business and risk management personnel on specific transactions and key market developments.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze trends, including cash flow, leverage buyout, cost of capital analysis, ability-to-pay, value-creation, operating models, and 3-statement models.

  • Research and analyze trends across sectors and capital structures.

  • Conduct research using Bloomberg, Moody’s, S&P and other financial databases to analyze market data and competitive dynamics.

  • Support origination, structuring and deal execution, and working on a broad scope of committed financing assignments for leveraged finance clients.

  • Participate in the credit committee approval process, including due diligence, credit analysis and communication with the Risk team.

  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related; and

  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related finance occupation.

  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Developing and maintaining financial models to analyze trends, including cash flow, leverage buyout, cost of capital analysis, ability-to-pay, value-creation, operating models, and 3-statement models;

  • Researching and analyzing trends across sectors and capital structures;

  • Conducting research using Bloomberg, Moody’s, S&P and other financial databases to analyze market data and competitive dynamics;

  • Supporting origination, structuring and deal execution, and working on a broad scope of committed financing assignments for leveraged finance clients; and,

  • Participating in the credit committee approval process, including due diligence, credit analysis and communication with the Risk team.
