Location Overview:
Join our bustling Bromley office, situated in one of London’s greenest boroughs. Here you’ll find plentiful and easy commuting routes, with central London just 15 minutes away by train.
Role Description:
You will join the Global Credit & Loan Servicing Operations organisation as EMEA Head of Agency Management and Banking Loan Operations. They will report directly to the EMEA Global Credit Operations Executive. They have direct ownership of the end-to-end post underwriting functions, including Fulfilment/Document review, agency management and post-closing servicing.
Agency Management & Lending Fulfilment provides end-to-end implementation handling and documentation review to our corporate clients for deals where we are a lender either directly, as part of a syndicate or as the Agent. Lending Servicing & Operations provides post-closing servicing and processing support from answering complex clients/lenders queries to processing time critical activities. These activities include support for Asset Based Lending to syndicated and large corporates.
The team is split across our Bromley and India sites. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for the team in Bromley, indirectly responsible for the team in India and functional owner of the Agency Management/ Lending functions and processes across the region. This senior role will also have a seat on external and internal workstreams such as the Loan Market Association and any change and digital transformation efforts in the region.
This job is responsible for one or more major operations segments for a site, region, or product line within the bank's internal operations. Key responsibilities include identifying and resolving problems related to product lines, ensuring compliance with policies, and identifying opportunities to improve process performance and operating efficiency. Job expectations include supervising day-to-day activities of employees such as executing transactions.
• You will be asked to apply your knowledge of the end-to-end processes and ensures adherence to bank and regulatory policy and procedures when making agreements that impact various operations and product lines
• You will be developing procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activities and oversees budget, reporting, and forecasting for designated areas
• You will be able to evaluate efficiencies and identifies areas of improvement and growth to the overall process, identifying data, metrics, and key performance indicators to measure process effectiveness
• Aligns bank priorities and strategies to employee metrics and goals, evaluates employee progress, and strives to recognize, encourage, and improve team performance to support an inclusive work environment
Responsibilities:
The successful individual is required to have a solid background in people’s management process ownership, risk control framework/SPI and a focus on OPEX/ simplification. Ideally an understanding of the syndicated loan space and/or loan IQ would be appreciated but not mandatory.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- You will have experience in leading teams through changes
- You will have experience managing oversight of the team both onshore and offshore
- You will act as escalation for any complex problem resolution
- You will drive process improvement; continuously assess process through Ops Excellence mindset
- You will own all post underwriting activities including agency management, credit agreement and facility booking; client services & processing activities
- You will sustain risk free environment with a focus on the daily activity, key control, and metrics management
- You will build solid/influential trusted advisors’ relationships with key leader and business partners
- You will ensure team visibility across the enterprise and industry
- You will be responsible for proper communication and compliance with regulatory requirements
What we are looking for:
- You will have people and Process management experience
- You will have experience in Loan Market Association credit agreement review and deal negotiation and knowledge of loan IQ ideally
- You will have process design and Op Ex background
- You will have experience in building relationships with Business Partners across LOBs.
- You will be deadline focused and have experience in working in a fast-moving environment
- You will have an understanding and appreciation of risk appetite methodology and the bank risk culture
