Location Overview:
Based in the 8th arrondissement and within the Parisian Golden Triangle, our beautiful Art-Deco era office benefits from luxury modern workspaces, an abundance of natural light and is easily accessible by public transport.
The Team:
The International CRO Governance and Strategy team is responsible for ensuring “best-in-class” and consistent risk governance processes across the organization. The team supports the management of the EMEA Legal Entity Board and Management Risk Committees, including organizing, reviewing and challenging materials. Given the team’s consolidated view of the risk organization, the team also supports key deliverables for the Chief Risk Officers (CRO), including internal and external presentations, consolidated risk reporting and analysis, and briefing materials.
Role Description:
The Business Strategy and Initiatives Executive executes business/strategic planning process and drives execution of key strategic initiatives.
The role also sets and implements consistent processes and standards around key activities including staffing, technology, capacity planning, financial planning and management, employee enablement, engagement and communications, learning/training, governance and strategic initiatives for the Global Risk organization.
This role leads reporting and analytical efforts and leads the design, development, execution and continuous improvement of reporting and dashboards. The Business Strategy and Initiatives Executive provides leadership direction and attracts, assesses, develops, motivates and retains a successful team. This role ensures consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs by establishing effective review of practices across the team.
Responsibilities:
The team is looking for a highly motivated individual contributor to support key risk governance and strategy deliverables. Responsibilities will include:
Risk Governance
Responsible for the running of Bank of America Securities Europe SA’s (BofASE) Board and Management Risk Committees, including organizing, reviewing and challenging materials
Drafting written executive level communications (e.g., memos) and presentations for the CRO, which requires an interest and deep understanding of BofASE and its key risks
Partnering across the Risk organization to ensure consistent risk reporting that aligns to BofASE’s top risks and communicating these risks and issues in a thematic way
Building relationships and networking across the organization (including within Global Risk Management) and gaining a broad knowledge of key and emerging risks across the enterprise
CRO strategic initiatives support; Business Control and Operations
Leading entity strategic initiatives and routines in support of the CRO
Supporting key deliverables for the CRO, including internal and external presentation and briefings
Performing ad-hoc analysis on various risk / regulatory topics and themes
Leading efforts to drive operational excellence and process improvement across the broader team
Working in collaboration and coordination with the wider (enterprise and regional) Global Markets & International Risk and Global Risk Management business controls and operations teams, drive and co-ordinate the risk team in the following areas:
Business Operations
Budgeting and Expense Management
Learning Development, Training, and Audience Identification
Personnel Processes
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
System Access Management
Real Estate Planning
Initiative Management: Tech and Non-Tech
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree
Fluent in English written and verbal (French language fluency is not mandatory)
Extensive financial industry or risk experience
Ability to lead across teams, cultivate a positive culture, ensure collaboration across the enterprise
Strategic thinker. Comfortable with senior leadership level. Excellent relationship skills.
Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally and to feel comfortable delivering insights and recommendations to senior management
Comfortable taking initiative and being resourceful/entrepreneurial
Excellent analytical skills and ability to effectively challenge or identify limitations and assumptions
Knowledge of the company’s businesses and products
Organized and an eye for detail
