Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Asset Services department. The department is responsible for Voluntary Corporate Action elections within EMEA markets. London Asset Services is a globally aligned function reporting to the Global Head of Asset Services. The department works closely with colleagues in London, US, and Asia Asset Services.
Asset Services play an important role in the life cycle of a trade and they work closely with other Operational teams and external parties to ensure risk on corporate actions is dealt with effectively. This role offers direct interactions with a variety of different lines of business (including Prime Broker, Equity Trading, Swaps, Stock Loan and Custody) and as such the ability to build and retain good relationships with these stakeholders is important.
Responsibilities:
- Understand & correctly interpret information on corporate action events received from various data sources
- Reconcile positions and accurately process events completed on the key processing date
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including trading desks
- Answer incoming queries to ensure they are answered accurately and in a timely manner
- Review team processes and identify focus areas for potential improvement
- Maintain risk within the levels set by the management team
What we are looking for:
- Knowledge of Banking / Financial services industry
- Dividend or corporate actions experience ideally
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Participate in and drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base
- Ability to escalate issues and manage risk
