Process Overview*
GBS GMO Risk team is part of GMO Risk aligned to provide a centralized risk model, driving consistency through end-to-end horizontal risk management and oversight functions, as well as vertical risk functions. The vertical risk function provides dedicated risk expertise to support the lines of business and regions. The vertical central team oversees the governance of multiple risk activities across GMO, with a focus on reducing inconsistencies and implementing unified, standardized governance processes. The horizontal risk function provides a centralized view of GMO Risk, support adhoc initiatives and centralized resiliency planning, together with the oversight and support of regulatory requirements impacting GMO.
Job Description*
The GMO vertical central team sits within the Global Market Operations Risk Function. The team aims to deliver consistent and strong monitoring, reporting and oversees the governance of multiple risk activities across GMO, with a focus on reducing inconsistencies and implementing unified, standardized governance processes. This position will support the vertical central team. The associate in this role will be responsible for handling multiple governance routines. Associate will be expected to perform delegation of authority review, SPI governance routines, SPI calculated rating & other GMO level governance routines
Responsibilities*

Support a number of GMO vertical central activities such as:
Attestations
Working knowledge delegation of authority
Understanding Risk, Control, & Metric framework
Ensure GMO vertical central routines are fully understood, and the information/data being submitted is accurate and timely and has gone through the required reviews.
Develop and maintain documentation such as best practice guidelines and job aids, along with the subsequent periodic reviews, in support of the various GMO horizontal activities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal global business, control and risk partners, and GMO lines of business.
Help drive operational excellence through risk reporting automations and transformation projects
