Role Description:
As a Corporate Banking Analyst within the Western Europe Financial Institutions Group (FIG), you will play a crucial role in supporting our team’s efforts to deliver exceptional service and innovative financial solutions to our European FIG clients such as banks, insurance companies, private credit firms and asset managers.
Your responsibilities will involve:
Collaborate with relationship managers and partner across teams to support client relationships, origination and execution across a diverse set of product areas
Specifically, provide primary support to Nordic, Dutch and Polish clients and, as part of the broader EMEA team, gain exposure to different problematic across the EMEA
Support the team in the development of corporate finance analysis, and provide active support in origination for a range of products including bonds, treasury solutions, FX and rates, loans and leases
Work on live transactions and assist in the preparation of credit proposals and loan documents for new financing deals and credit renewals
Take active participation in preparation of client growth plans on a client by client basis
Participate in client meetings and take active role in preparation of those, including by creating pitchbooks, briefing memos and agendas
Develop an in-depth understanding of the FIG industry, and help support the growth aspirations and day-to-day banking requirements of our FIG clients
Gain knowledge of market fundamentals and be able to make informed contributions on a broad array of financing strategies that address client’s specific needs
Work closely with Capital Markets, Payment Solutions, Global Markets and Investment Banking teams on client coverage and origination
Provide support on ad-hoc tasks including KYC, pipeline tracking, company profiles and quarterly business reviews
What we are looking for:
Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance)
Strong mathematical and analytical skills are required
Proficient level of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Comfort with using bank-supported AI programmes and applications (training will be provided on the ground)
Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build relationships within the bank and with the clients
Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals
In 18+ month horizon, availability to selectively travel away from home base for 24-48 hours
Fluency in English is essentiel as primary language of conducting business
Skills that will help (optional):
Knowledge of French is encouraged as role is based in Paris, however not essential
Knowledge of Dutch, Polish or a Nordic language is a plus but not essential
