Job Purpose

The CGM Site Manager will focus on multiple aspects of commercial grounds landscape maintenance services and all client needs, as well as being a hands-on position managing field supervisors and crews servicing the assigned site. The two primary focuses will be to manage the onsite crews and handle all client interactions for assigned site to ensure account retention. The Site Manager will promote teamwork, provide clear customer expectations to production staff, promote safety & follow all safety protocols, and train supervisors and other production staff. The Site Manager will also work directly with clients on enhancement sales opportunities to enhance the community as well as driving quality services from the onsite production teams.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Management and Accounting

· Keep informed of new practices in green industry.

· Keep informed of new or potential sales.

· Provide hour and material budgets for all crews as a guide for production

· Utilize BOSS LM for scheduling and tracking job issues

· Monitor the integrity of information provided to accounting system (timesheets and work orders)

· Monitor equipment inventory and ensure equipment is properly serviced

· Facilities lock up.

Customer Service and Sales

· Serve as main field contact person for clients

· Customer retention

· Maintain excellent on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors

· Meet monthly sales goals for enhancements.

· Main contact for Enhancements on your sites

· Meet with clients as necessary and acquire information needed to estimate new sales

· Assemble proposals for potential Grounds Management Customers.

Production:

· Supervise and train maintenance field supervisors and crews on all aspects of landscape maintenance services

· Conduct a site inspection on each job no less than every two weeks

· Monitor and maintain irrigation controller including coordination of repairs

· Review of equipment needs and maintenance schedules with Branch Manager

· Perform and/or participate in crew and department general and safety meetings

· Insure the safe operation of all maintenance equipment

· Safely drive company owned vehicles

· Work with other Production Managers to ensure a consistent product

· Work with other managers on work schedules including seasonal work needs

· Work with other departments and personnel when needed

· Help with snow removal in the winter months

· Ability to meet seasonal deadlines set by the Branch Manager

Horticulture:

· Ensure crews are equipped and informed to provide the safest, highest quality work in an efficient manner

· Promote proper horticulture by training field supervisors and labor.

Personnel:

· Work closely with HR Manager to promote and enforce all Human Resource Procedures

· Interview, hire, orient, and train all new hires

· Participating in intern training

· Continually provide ongoing training to field supervisors to meet company growth, needs, etc.

· Document absences, tardiness and other disciplinary actions

· Conduct Performance Reviews on field supervisors and staff

· Enforce company policies

Requirements:

· Must have a min, 2 yr college degree and a min of 3-5yrs exp. In related field OR a combination.

· Must have a valid NC Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record

· Must pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean criminal record

· Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others

· Ability to acquire NC Pesticide applicators license

· Ability to acquire CLT certification

· Must comply with Bland’s policies and procedures

· Must practice safety with chemicals and all equipment

· Must wear company-provided uniforms and use personal protective equipment as needed

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis

· Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis

· Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

· Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision
