About the Role
Bland Landscaping’s Estate Gardening Division provides full-service landscaping for high-end residential properties, delivering excellence in horticultural care, design, and maintenance. We are seeking a motivated Crew Leader in Training who is passionate about fine gardening and ready to grow into a leadership role. This position is hands-on and focused on learning the skills, responsibilities, and leadership required to manage a crew maintaining premier estate gardens.
Primary Responsibilities

Assist the Crew Leader in managing daily operations on estate properties, including full-service landscape maintenance and enhancements.

Learn to direct and motivate team members to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

Perform hands-on horticultural work, including planting, pruning, mulching, turf care, seasonal color installation, irrigation checks, and other fine gardening tasks.

Support scheduling, job material collection, and equipment preparation each day.

Monitor property aesthetics and proactively address horticultural needs to maintain pristine landscapes.

Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner, supporting long-term relationships built on trust and service excellence.

Participate in company training and development programs designed to prepare you for advancement into a Crew Leader role.

Required Skills
Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).

1–2 years of experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field preferred (but willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic).

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating landscaping equipment.

Strong interest in horticulture and high-end residential landscape care.

Desire to grow into a leadership role with responsibility for crew management and client service.

Must adhere to company standards of professionalism, including uniform compliance and representing the Estate Gardening Division with excellence.
