OVERVIEW


CBC Real Estate (CBCRE), a division of Capitol Broadcasting Company, is a leading developer, owner, and operator of historic and mixed-use properties across North and South Carolina. The Marketing & Communications Manager leads the execution of CBCRE’s marketing, communications, and digital strategy, and oversees third-party partners to deliver branding and public relations across CBC Real Estate’s portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate is a proactive, strategic marketer who excels in complex environments and can align diverse priorities to amplify CBCRE’s reach and impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Marketing

  • Drive and execute CBCRE’s division-wide marketing strategy, aligning shared priorities while addressing needs specific to individual areas within the division.
  • Create and execute an advertising strategy that drives visitor engagement, tenant recruitment and retention.
  • Identify and manage relationships with strategic partners, including but not limited to agency relationships, media buying and more.
  • Define, track and analyze performance across websites, social media, advertising and other channels to assess performance and inform decision-making.
  • Identify and submit for awards that elevate CBCRE’s brand visibility.

Public Relations & Communications

  • Identify and manage third-party PR partners to develop press releases, outreach campaigns, and manage rapid-response communications.
  • Oversee property-level newsletters and enhance their reach and relevance.

Branding, Graphics & Digital Assets

  • Identify and work directly with third-party partners to develop brand standards and graphics, to include voice, and tone, across print and digital materials.
  • Work with internal team and partners to develop branding for new properties as needed.

Social Media

  • Lead the creation and oversight of social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Plan, develop, and manage weekly and monthly content schedules to support engagement goals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, ideally within corporate or multi-faceted organizations.
  • Experience working within an agency is preferred.
  • Proven success in executing integrated marketing strategies.
  • Experience quarterbacking social media, digital campaigns, and brand initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing analytics, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows and meetings with third-party vendors off-site. Candidate will be expected to regularly visit CBCRE properties to work with property-specific personnel(travel reimbursement provided).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms (e.g. Adobe Creative Suites, Canva, AI-driven tools, and social media management systems).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
