Overview:

The Brand Experience Specialist partners directly with the local sales team to help drive revenue through excellence, direct response account ownership, and proactive campaign support. The purpose of this role is to increase sales capacity and revenue performance, not manage systems, reporting, or departmental operations.

This position serves as a bridge between Sales and Fulfillment, helping local AEs move faster, reduce friction, and execute complex campaigns efficiently. The role may support national business when needed but is primarily focused on enabling local revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Sales-Facing Execution & Revenue Support

• Support local AEs by ensuring fast, accurate order execution
• Increase AE selling time by absorbing complex execution responsibilities
• Act as a high-level execution partner for priority accounts
• Prioritize work based on revenue impact and urgency
• Help local sales close and retain business through flawless execution

Direct Response Account Ownership (Commission Eligible)

• Independently manage assigned Direct Response accounts
• Serve as the operational lead and client contact for these accounts
• Monitor and optimize campaigns to ensure revenue delivery
• Support growth and performance of DR revenue
• Earn commission tied directly to DR revenue performance

Inventory & Revenue Protection

• Review high-value programming and rate integrity
• Flag pricing anomalies or inventory risks that could impact revenue
• Ensure premium inventory is properly aligned with orders

Makegoods & Campaign Integrity

• Manage quarterly makegoods and resolve efficiently
• Protect rate integrity while fulfilling obligations
• Escalate excessive added-value requests

Process Improvement (Revenue-Driven, Not Systems-Driven)

• Identify workflow issues that slow sales or execution
• Recommend practical improvements that increase speed and accuracy
• Reduce unnecessary handoffs that impact revenue timing
• Serve as a connector between Sales and Fulfillment to keep campaigns moving

This role does not own systems, reporting infrastructure, or departmental process governance — those remain within Sales Operations.

Future Evolution: Sales Strategy Support (2027 Path)

• Assist with omni-channel campaign structuring
• Support packaging and integrated sales solutions
• Provide insights from campaign execution to inform strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a sales support, account coordination, revenue operations, or media fulfillment role
  • Proven track record of supporting sales teams with execution excellence in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of media inventory, campaign execution, and revenue protection principles
  • Experience managing direct response or performance-based accounts is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across sales and fulfillment teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and order management systems
  • Must be proactive, solution-oriented, and focused on revenue impact

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in media, advertising, or broadcast sales support roles
  • Proven ability to identify process improvements that directly increase sales efficiency or revenue
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate execution insights into strategic recommendations
  • Comfortable presenting campaign performance or process updates to sales teams or managers
  • Experience working in or closely with a news broadcast or live production environment

Physical Demands:

  • Primarily sedentary role with extended periods of computer use
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working on orders, campaigns, and account management
  • Occasional movement throughout the office to collaborate with sales, fulfillment, and production teams
  • May require occasional light lifting or handling of materials related to campaign presentations or client materials (up to 10 lbs.)
  • Must be able to work effectively in an environment with moderate noise levels typical of an active news office

  • Setting: Professional, fast-paced media environment with active news production
