Overview:

The On-Call Radio Promotions Assistant serves as an energetic ambassador for MIX 101.5, 99.9 The Fan, and 95.7 That Station’s events and promotions. This role supports the setup, execution, and breakdown of live broadcasts and station events, while also engaging with listeners, clients, and the community in a professional and enthusiastic manner. Success in the role means reliably representing the station’s brand, ensuring smooth event operations, and creating positive experiences for the public. This role is key to building the station’s presence and strengthening Capitol Broadcasting Company’s community connections. Please note, this is not a regularly scheduled position, and hours are only available as needed.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador at station events, live broadcasts, and community activities.
  • Assist with event preparation, including load up, set-up, breakdown, and transportation of promotional materials.
  • Operate basic broadcasting equipment and provide on-site support during live promotions.
  • Engage with the public, clients, and listeners in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
  • Support promotional efforts through clerical tasks, photography, and updating social media accounts.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, provided they are reasonably related to the responsibilities outlined in this job description.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift equipment and boxes weighing more than 25 pounds.
  • Availability to work on call, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in radio promotions, events, or broadcasting.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms for promotional use.
  • Strong interest in the media and entertainment industry.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during events.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and transporting of equipment weighing 25+ pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling during event set-up and breakdown.
  • Use of hands and vision for operating broadcasting equipment, photography, and handling promotional materials.
