We will be conducting open interviews with the possibility of being hired on the spot.
Overview:
The Holly Springs Salamander's are seeking outgoing, upbeat and detail-oriented individuals who are interested in joining Baseball and gaining experience in the sports industry. This position will support the promotions department, as an Entertainment & Promotions Assistant through game day entertainment initiatives to help put on the best show in Baseball. This is a part-time, seasonal, game day position.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
An Entertainment and Promotions Assistant will be responsible for assisting with on-field entertainment operations pre-game, between innings and post-game including but not limited to:
- Finding contestants for between inning contests
- Operating between inning contests
- Assisting in crowd cams and tosses
- Following the itinerary set and executing the run-of-show that has been planned for the event
- Assisting with various mascots and performers with oversight and safety handling
- This position will also be expected to participate in various skits and tasks to assist in building the atmosphere and creating entertainment for the fans. Anyone who applies should be willing to go the extra mile to ensure a memorable experience for all fans who enter the ballpark
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage fans of all ages
- Creativity and enthusiasm for providing memorable fan experiences
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in promotions, entertainment, or customer service is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of baseball or the Durham Bulls organization is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with event coordination and promotional strategies is an advantage
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move briskly throughout all areas of the stadium for extended periods (often 4-8 hours) during events. Requires the ability to maintain high energy, enthusiasm, and vocal projection throughout the duration of games and promotions
Work Conditions:
- Must be available for all Holly Springs's home games, which include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is required for extended hours to assist with pre-game setup, in-game execution, and post-game teardown of promotional elements
- This role operates in a fast-paced, high-energy, and noisy stadium environment, both indoors and outdoors. You will be exposed to all types of outdoor weather conditions, including sun, heat, humidity, and rain, with limited access to climate-controlled areas
- Work involves constant interaction with fans, sponsors, and team staff in a lively, crowded, and dynamic event setting. The ability to perform enthusiastically and think quickly under pressure is essential
