Principal Intelligence Analyst – Global Intelligence Analysis

The Purpose of Your Role

The Principal Intelligence Analyst position requires in-depth knowledge of the intelligence lifecycle. Candidate must apply an understanding of concepts, theories, and practices related to physical security and threat intelligence, based on deep knowledge of physical security programs and business unit needs!

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelors or equivalent with 8+ years or Masters with 6+ years of demonstrable experience in Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, Technology, Journalism, or similar degree fields.
  • Prior military, government, law enforcement, journalist, and/or private sector intelligence experience.
  • Industry memberships in government or private sector intelligence consortiums.
  • Experience with Application Programming Interface (API) and/or programming languages such as Python desired.
  • Security Operations Center (SOC) experience desired.
  • Physical security experience a plus but not required.
  • Industry or government certifications in information and/or intelligence analysis a plus.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Functional understanding of physical security programs in the financial sector.
  • Deep understanding of the impact of geopolitical issues, locational threat trends, and reputational risk in regions of interest.
  • Demonstrable ability to understand the application of intelligence in a physical security setting.
  • Ability to write clear and concise analytical information products.
  • Expertise in preparing and presenting research findings in both client and public settings.
  • Propensity to maintain or develop professional contacts in the law enforcement, government, and private sector intelligence fields.
  • Experience with log management or security information management tools.
  • Working knowledge of coding and ability to write coding scripts.
  • Proven background configuring and maintaining vendor platforms in support of a large organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of open-source research techniques and tools.
  • Ability to create data visualizations in various applications, including Microsoft PowerBI, to enhance analytical assessments.
  • Understanding of masking techniques to reduce digital footprint.
  • Skilled in the use of document and data repositories.
  • Ability to validate data and document data validation processes.

The Value You Deliver

  • Analyze threat, trend, and geopolitical information from a variety of internal and external sources to provide actionable intelligence relating to issues of geopolitical significance, physical security, reputational, and locational risk.
  • Monitor reporting from various sources, including social and traditional media, government, and vendor intelligence. Alert domain experts and regional leaders of emerging issues, and lead reporting across all Resiliency, Intelligence, and Security Operations’ teams.
  • Maintain and produce intelligence products to inform and enhance Fidelity’s physical security program. With direction, develop priority intelligence and information collection requirements.
  • Inform operational physical security posture by providing insightful research and analysis.
  • Lead physical security intelligence production dealing with crime, civil unrest, and terrorism, brought to bear by various business units, including the Wealth Management and Brokerage Businesses, in determining viable sites for retail Investor Centers.
  • Produce intelligence reporting and brief findings and analysis to incident managers, peers, and senior leaders.
  • Assist analysts and incident response staff with the identification and assessment of threat actors’ tactics and techniques.
  • Work as a team member to ensure threat indicators are promptly identified and collaborators are informed with actionable and complete information.
  • Create unique intelligence products at the direction of senior leaders including the Executive Team.
