Position Description:

Develops Web applications in a hybrid technology stack — Angular, GraphQL, and Java. Programs software solutions using Angular, NgRx, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and HTML. Integrates Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and Representational State Transfer (REST) Web services using JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and Spring Framework. Builds automation pipelines according to DevOps methodologies using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools — Jenkins, Artifactory, and Github. Ensures designs meet performance, security, usability, reliability, and scalability requirements through testing and automation using Jasmine, Jest, and Cypress. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

  • Ensures software quality through use of tools and performs code reviews to ensure others’ quality.

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Studies, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing Web applications, utilizing Angular and RESTful APIs, in a Financial Services Domain.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Studies, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing Web applications, utilizing Angular and RESTful APIs, in a Financial Services Domain.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and implementing software solutions, using User Interface (UI) development technology stack — Angular, GraphQL, Java, HTML, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS; and implementing state management patterns and frameworks using NgRx/RxJS.

  • DE designing and developing customer profiling and onboarding flows for high net worth investors, utilizing Angular, RESTful APIs, and responsive designs using Bootstrap frameworks.

  • DE designing, developing, and integrating Java Web services using Dropwizard, Spring Boot, and Spring Security according to Service Oriented (SOA) and micro-services architecture; authenticating applications using oAuth and Spring MVC frameworks; and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Web services using Jenkins and Github.

  • DE supporting the full Web application development lifecycle — analysis, design, development, test, and deployment — using Source Control version (Git and Stash) and build tools (Maven and Jenkins) according to Agile methodologies.
