Position Description:
Works with architect team to design and develop the web application — e2e flow. Develops front -end applications using Angular, Bootstrap, and other UI rich components — Tree table and live rate bar. Develops REST API's in Java and .Net Core to perform CRUD operations from UI using Spring Boot with Tomcat. Designs software applications for Test Driven Development (TDD) and writes automated tests — unit and integration — using JUNIT, Jasmine, Selenium, and Protractor. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams.

Defines and implements application level architecture.

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

Advises senior management on technical strategy.

Mentors junior team members.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing custom client applications for employee payroll, payment, benefits administration, and modeling systems.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing custom client applications for employee payroll, payment, benefits administration, and modeling systems.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) building responsive end-to-end MVC-based Web applications through the development of Angular and Drupal applications, using NodeJS, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring JDBC, Spring Cloud, HikariCP, Java, Structured Query language, and design patterns; and performing software development according to Test Driven Development (TDD) and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) methodologies.

DE designing and building Angular/Java Cloud based application solutions for financial and benefits administration, using Azure and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline.

DE delivering custom client websites and digital solutions, using Node.js, NPM, Angular 10, 8+, HTML5, CSS3, J2EE, Python, Azure SQL, Git, REST, MySQL or MariaDB and Maven or Ant; writing automated tests (unit and integration) following Test Driven Development (TDD) using JUNIT, Jasmine, Selenium, and Protractor; and distributing and storing data in the Cloud using cloud technologies — EC2, S3, VPCs, Cloudfront, and Docker.

DE storing, retrieving, and manipulating data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements; and conferring with systems analysts and software engineers/developers to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
