Position Description:
Provides Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions that enable thousands of associates in the acquisition of new business and the daily support of clients. Creates and improves solutions that help meet client acquisition, services, and retention goals. Builds Salesforce.com solutions using low code (Flows) and pro code (Apex and Lightning Web Components) capabilities. Contributes as an agile team member and completes tasks outside of primary role (business analysis or quality testing) when needed for success of the team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works within an agile team, building solutions on the Salesforce.com Platform while considering reuse, speed to market, and technical excellence.
Collaborates with business partners, architects, analysts, and engineers to design solutions.
Provides recommendations regarding overall technical architecture, standards and practices, and release process for Salesforce.com development.
Publishes clear and concise design documentation.
Participates in and contributes to formal reviews of architecture, design, and code.
Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Develops or directs software system tests or validation procedures, programs, or documentation.
Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as required report formats, costs, or security needs to determine hardware configuration.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Salesforce Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing and deploying applications on the Salesforce CRM Platform, utilizing configuration, custom programming, and Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins and GIT.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Salesforce Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing and deploying applications on the Salesforce CRM Platform, utilizing configuration, custom programming, and Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins and GIT.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and implementing customizations on Salesforce platforms, by developing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capabilities using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and JavaScript, and process automation flows and integrating with APIs (Application Programming Interface).
DE administering Salesforce instances by configuring Force.com and Sales/Service/Experience Cloud products; creating or modifying profiles, permission sets, roles, users, page layouts, Lightning pages, custom objects, workflows, flows, and process builders; developing solutions using Force.com configuration and code; and coordinating data operations with tools -- Salesforce Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, dataloader.io, and Workbench.
DE consulting on requirements refinement during Agile Backlog Refinement sessions using tools -- Jira, Rally, or Azure boards; documenting both high and low-level solutions in Confluence or SharePoint; and collaborating on the development Salesforce solutions within an Agile framework.
DE working in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of Salesforce solutions within an Agile environment; providing estimates and dependencies to product owners, assisting in planning enhancements, designing solutions based on business requirements, writing unit tests on the Apex platform, and maintaining configurations and code using version control systems -- GitHub, Bitbucket, Git, SVN/Subversion, GitLab, or Team Foundation Server; and providing production support for incidents on the Salesforce platform, utilizing Sales/Service Cloud and custom Force.com development methodologies.
