Position Description:
Develops software and web solutions using Angular and Python. Builds and deploys software solutions using public cloud provider services (Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)). Deploys on Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, UDeploy, and GIT. Programs within web applications using languages and technologies (Java/J2EE, JSP, XML, SOAP, REST, Web Services, Spring Boot, and Unix Shell). Publishes API Gateway using APIGEE, WSO2, and AWS API Gateway. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Fosters collaboration between development and operations teams.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing full stack Web applications in a Cloud platform environment, using Java and J2EE on Spring frameworks.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing full stack Web applications in a Cloud platform environment, using Java and J2EE on Spring frameworks.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing full stack Web applications using Java, Angular 2-12, Java Script, AJAX, NodeJs, and ReactJ; and designing and deploying Web applications using Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP), Transaction Management, Object-Relational Mapping (ORM), Java Message Service (JMS), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Spring, and Spring Boot.
DE integrating REST and SOAP-based Webservices with third-party applications; and performing application development on middleware Websphere server 8.5 (messaging, event queue, and relational databases), on Web-based J2EE.
DE implementing serverless architecture and performing Cloud formation using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using AWS Lambda and Auto Scaling; securing environments using IAM roles, VPC configurations, and AWS Cloud watch; performing relational and non-relational database administration on AWS; and working with AWS software development kit (AWS SDK) and managed applications.
DE implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automating infrastructure management, using AWS code pipeline; and ensuring system performance and detecting issues by monitoring and logging system failures, using Grafana and ELK stack.
