Analyzes all aspects and phases of the product delivery applications according to Agile methodologies. Reviews and analyzes systems and performance indicators to locate code problems and correct errors. Writes use cases, business processes, and system workflow documentation. Performs technical analysis of sophisticated Web application development concepts. Develops Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Provides analysis leadership on complex systems analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization. Consults with business users to develop recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leads and conducts interviews with business users to gather requirements, and analyzes technology needs and system and workflow challenges.
Develops recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects, and defines project scope.
Leads other analysts in the execution of documents on large and complex projects and monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other analysts.
Designs new systems based on requirements.
Leads and participates in the definition of test strategies, and coordinates user acceptance testing efforts.
Communicates progress of multiple projects to management, engages stakeholders on a regular basis, and manages expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
Serves as industry Subject Matter Expert (SME), and identifies other subject matter experts to source requirements for large and complex projects.
Works with other teams to evolve standards and best practices for systems analysis processes.
Participates in incident/crisis management to assess business impact, determine/facilitate any workarounds, in concert with the production support organization.
Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
Coaches and mentors junior product analysts and developers on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing systems analysis for personalization systems within a financial services environment, using Jira (Agile), SQL query tools, Cloud technologies, IBM DB2, and Microsoft Visio.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing systems analysis for personalization systems within a financial services environment, using Jira (Agile), SQL query tools, Cloud technologies, IBM DB2, and Microsoft Visio.

Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing systems analysis by analyzing data (data analysis and mapping) and conducting systems analysis and testing (systems feasibility and impact analysis, set-up and configuration of systems, gap analysis, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)), according to Agile methodologies (creating flowcharts, monitoring case development, and executing story mapping and writing).
DE analyzing mainframe and distributed brokerage systems and business models (to identify product requirements and documents) within an Agile or Jira framework; and analyzing software system requirements, developing system specifications, and creating workflow diagrams (to ensure integration of the system developed with existing applications), using Draw.io, Microsoft Visio, and Miro.
DE writing user stories--including concise and clear system requirements used by developers to implement modern, brokerage technology solutions across varied integrated systems (including front end, middle-tier, and backend solutions) using Jira/Miro board.
DE performing product management and financial systems analysis to capture product documentation and align with organization goals and product roadmaps, using Confluence, MIRO, JIRA, and JIRA Align; and collecting, developing, and interpreting data models (to support the data-driven decisioning-making process and enhance system performance), using Power BI, Postman, Python, and Cloud technologies.
