The Role

Identity & Access Management of Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Principal Systems Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including businesses, security, compliance, and product management, to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and translate business requirements into actionable insights. Your work will directly support program execution decision-making and help us improve our strategic program execution efficiency and security posture. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in data analysis, a passion for technology, and a keen eye for uncovering valuable insights from unstructured data.

The Team

Enterprise Cybersecurity is responsible for protecting Fidelity from external and internal threats against our infrastructure, data and systems. You will join a team focused on delivering high-impact product analysis. Your contributions will help drive the decommissioning of legacy platforms and support the implementation of strategic, forward-looking solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, fellow product analysts, squad leads, engineers, and architects to support key initiatives within the Identity & Access Management product domain.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 8+ years’ experience as systems analyst or business analyst delivering software using agile development practices. Additional experience in the cybersecurity or financial services industry would be beneficial.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent career experience in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems or related field

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools: You should be highly skilled in Python, SQL, and Tableau or PowerBI to analyze complex datasets, create predictive models/patterns, and visualize findings.

  • Experience in cybersecurity and IT operations: Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), log analysis, and datamining and monitoring are essential. Familiarity with tools like SailPoint is a plus.

  • Strong analytical capabilities: You have a proven ability to sift through unstructured data, logs, and alerts, clean and organize them, and transform overlooked details into meaningful insights.

  • Experience with Jira and Jira Align, or other comparable Agile tools is a plus

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills: You can clearly articulate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports and dashboards.

  • Expert mastery of advanced business analysis techniques and product ownership skills including translating analysis into actionable insights to inform product and team objectives

  • Expert ability to conduct research and analysis independently including applying data-driven insights, constructing complex diagrams and visualizations, and documenting current and future state of complex projects

  • Functions as a domain expert of team’s product(s) and processes and seeks opportunities to document and share knowledge to prevent single point of failure

  • Successfully navigates competing priorities and aligns teams across the enterprise to drive strategic, product delivery

  • Champions and leads cross-team and cross-product area collaboration to drive strong business outcomes

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills including proposing informed solutions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Creates and maintains complex documentation for reference by external teams and stakeholders including product documentation, technical diagrams, and business requirement documents

  • Operates with a continuous improvement mentality and mentor's junior analysts by sharing expertise and cultivating curiosity.

Related Certifications

  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, ISC2 SSCP, CISSP, IIBA (CCBA, CBAP, POA), and Cyber or technical certificates are a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$150,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
