Position Description:
Deploys applications in a DevOps environment using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies and tools (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, and Docker). Details Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Swagger and API gateways. Defines test strategy and sets up Test Automation framework using RESTAssured. Tests Junit, Mockito, and Spring Test frameworks. Develops web applications using JSP, HTML, CSS/SASS, JQuery, Angular/React, and NodeJS. Implements, stores, and analyzes data in cloud native applications using relational and NoSQL database management systems. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing Test Automation Frameworks -- for User Interfaces (UIs) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) -- in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing Test Automation Frameworks -- for User Interfaces (UIs) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) -- in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing responsive and adaptive Web design, using Angular or React JS, JavaScript 1.6, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JSON.
DE performing unit and functional automation testing for APIs (using Junit, TestNg, Mockito, and Rest Assured) and for UIs (using Selenium and Cypress).
DE performing Java multi-threaded, scalable application development using Java Spring framework, SQL, and Oracle; and measuring API performance metrics using JMeter or Load Runner.
DE implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.
