Job Description:

As a VP Team Leader in Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology organization, you will be responsible for the stability to the Fidelity Brokerage Platform. You will help define and evolve the vision, strategy and mission and ensure continued alignment and prioritization of work with other key initiatives while focusing on delivering a resilient and reliable platform. This role is part of the BRT R4 organization, and you will partner with other Fidelity leaders across the brokerage recordkeeping technology platform focused on 4 key pillars:

  • Responsive - attending to day-to-day production issues
  • Readiness- insuring enhancements introduced to the core brokerage platform our production ready
  • Reliable- Infrastructure Management
  • Resiliency- partner across the platform to establish a culture to deliver resilient technologies utilizing organizational standards.

You will support multiple team leaders as they improve value delivered through prioritization, creativity, innovation, collaboration, and decision making and encourage them to work iteratively, innovate through experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own knowledge and bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

  • Establish a resilient platform that embraces high organizational standards
  • Appropriately manage and communicate on production support issues to ensure all levels of the organization have a strong understanding of the impact to an event.
  • Identify, understand, and communicate past 24-hour production health- morning report
  • Manage end to end changes that are introduced to the platform with emphasis on identifying capacity concerns.
  • Enforce Change control to ensure what goes into production is resilient and reliable as per standards
  • Management of resiliency reviews & scorecard
  • Advocate best practices for Resiliency, Availability, Observability, bringing an innovative mindset to proactive issue detection and self-healing of cloud based applications
  • Leading and developing team leads to build appropriate learning opportunities to develop skills
  • Assessing trends and sharing insights, knowledge, and developments across core brokerage organization.
  • Compelling enterprise-wide alignment through collaboration, knowledge sharing and breaking down silos to achieve the best results for Fidelity

The Team

The R4 Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology VP Team Leader will manage multiple teams and will work in partnership with other domains across the brokerage platform. By demonstrating a primary focus on stability to our brokerage platform and promoting the Fidelity’s core values, you will evolve and sustain a team culture focused on a platform that is operating 24 by 7 for our customers and employees.
