Position Description:
Develops highly scalable and optimized applications for micro frontend and microservices architecture using JavaScript, Node, React.js. Vue.js, CSS, HTML, and browser developer tools. Designs and builds large scale applications and single page applications using Angular JS, Vue.js, and Spring MVC framework. Implements and performs all aspects of Cloud Native Software Engineering practices by building, deploying, and managing modern applications in Cloud computing environments (Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure). Develops and manages HTTP based Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Networking with frameworks (REST) using Java, SpringBoot, and NodeJS. Deploys applications in a DevOps environment by automating Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including Unit, Component, Functional, Performance, and security test automation. Tests automation tools and frameworks using Docker and shell scripting Linux platforms to run, build and develop applications. Performs data migration and management using GraphQL, WebSocket, and NoSQL Database. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Participates in architecture design teams.
Defines and implements application level architecture.
Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
Advises senior management on technical strategy.
Mentors junior team members.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Adheres to industry standards, design patterns, and object-oriented principles.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building scalable, server-side enterprise applications.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building scalable, server-side enterprise applications.

Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing full-stack systems analysis, data analysis, and functional design, defining requirements, and creating comprehensive technical documentation utilizing Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Word, Enterprise Confluence and Mural; navigating system dependencies across technologies utilizing front-end Angular JS-based UIs, modern REST APIs, legacy .NET and Java Web services, and backend Oracle databases, using SQL queries and PL/SQL blocks within development and integration environments.
DE performing application software delivery planning, architectural design, and development utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio, draw.io, Github Enterprise, Enterprise JIRA, Miro, and Enterprise Confluence; implementing SOLID principles, domain-driven design, and design patterns and addressing functional and non-functional requirements in a controlled development and integration environment; and performing timely delivery of business-critical requirements and overseeing regular system-wide maintenance and releases for services, APIs, and systems.
DE designing, coding and building robust, scalable APIs and applications using .NET Core and Java, Microsoft Azure services, C#, AWS, Angular, JavaScript, Microsoft Blazor, and ORM frameworks; delivering high-quality software features by following agile methodologies and using tools -- Enterprise Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube, Github Enterprise -- and performing code scanning and secret scanning.
DE developing CI/CD pipelines for microservices, applications, and APIs across Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) utilizing tools - Udeploy, Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, K-connect and Docker; and performing triage analysis, and resolving Incident tickets utilizing Splunk, DataDog, SmartBear SOAPUI, PostMan and ServiceNow Incident management software.
