The Role

As the Head of Technology Consulting, you will lead four high‑performing teams spanning platform demonstrations, fintech ecosystem consulting, custom integration solution design, and technology program management. You’ll set vision, elevate execution, and ensure Fidelity’s technology capabilities drive measurable value for prospects and clients. Key Responsibilities:

Client & Prospect Engagement

  • Engage with firms to uncover needs, challenges, and opportunities, shaping strategies that deepen relationships and accelerate growth.

  • Partner across segments, product, marketing, events and thought leadership to activate initiatives that drive adoption, engagement, and acquisition.

  • Build strong, trust‑based client relationships by identifying needs and delivering tailored Fidelity technology solutions.

  • Represent Fidelity at client and industry events, sharing platform vision through one‑on‑one engagements and thought‑leadership presentations.

Platform Strategy & Development

  • Inform the strategic platform roadmap through insights into client needs, competitive activity, and emerging industry trends.

Communication Strategy

  • Partner with Sales and Client leadership to shape and execute communication, education, and adoption strategies for key technology solutions.

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop messaging that drives revenue, accelerates adoption, and elevates Fidelity’s technology narrative.

Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • Proven leadership experience, ideally managing leaders of diverse technical and client-facing teams.

  • Strong partnership with Product & Technology, influencing roadmaps and elevating platform strategy.

  • Track record supporting enterprise‑level sales and revenue opportunities, showcasing Fidelity’s industry-leading technology and integration capabilities.

  • Deep FinTech and wealth management knowledge, with insight into industry trends, competitive dynamics, and the future of digital advice.

  • Exceptional client discovery skills, enabling accurate assessment of firm needs and co‑creating technology solutions that maximize value for both clients and Fidelity.

  • Wealth management and financial services expertise; experience in FinTech or digital advice preferred.

  • Outstanding relationship builder, establishing trust with internal partners, prospects, and clients across all levels.

  • Inspirational people leader and mentor, developing talent, instilling confidence, and driving high performance.

  • Compelling communicator, able to quickly synthesize complexity and deliver clear, persuasive content and presentations.

  • Highly collaborative and adaptable, thriving in a fast‑paced environment and managing multiple priorities with consistency and focus.

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience; Series 7 ,63, 24 required (within 90 days).

  • Significant travel required, approximately 70%

The Team

Fidelity Institutional provides a comprehensive clearing and custody platform, technology solutions and integrations, brokerage, investment and reporting services, trading capabilities, and practice management and consulting to registered investment advisors, including strategic acquirers and professional asset managers, retirement recordkeepers, broker-dealer firms, banks, insurance companies, family offices, and wealthy families.

Fidelity Institutional’s goal is to help clients ensure that they are always future-ready by offering knowledgeable consulting, exceptional people, and transformative technology. Fidelity Institutional has $2.1 trillion in AUA and services about 3,850 clients and more than 6 million accounts.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$264,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
