Experience using GitHub Copilot to enhance developer productivity and improve code quality across languages/frameworks.
Messaging and Streaming Expertise
Strong knowledge of event-driven and streaming platforms: Amazon SNS/SQS, ActiveMQ Artemis, Apache Kafka, including operational, security, and governance patterns.
Experience designing high‑throughput, low‑latency, highly-available messaging topologies.
Hands-on background with API architecture: RESTful design, lifecycle management, security/authorization patterns, and integration best practices.
Containers, CI/CD, and Modern Delivery
Experience building containerized systems using Kubernetes, Docker, and Amazon EKS.
Strong engineering background with automated CI/CD pipelines and modern DevSecOps practices.
Architectural Governance and Standards
Proven experience adopting the AWS Well‑Architected Framework across security, reliability, performance, cost, and operational excellence.
Prior responsibility for governing architectural standards, patterns, and reference implementations.
Experience influencing enterprise-level platform strategy and enforcing consistency across delivery teams.
Leadership and Communication
Experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead accountable for delivering new platforms or capabilities.
Strong partnership, negotiation, and communication skills across technology, product, and governance audiences.

The Skills You Bring
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
Passion for learning emerging technologies and applying them in pragmatic, value-driven ways.
Ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure, compliant architectures.
Hands-on willingness to write code, review designs, and support polyglot solutions.
Strong ability to articulate architectural risks, decisions, and trade-offs clearly.
Commitment to mentorship, continuous learning, and enabling engineering excellence.
The Value You Deliver
Architectural Leadership
Drive the target-state architecture for messaging, streaming, APIs, and event-driven capabilities across Fidelity Brokerage.
Develop prototypes, POCs, and MVPs to accelerate delivery using iterative, customer‑centric approaches.
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to multiple scrum teams and partner organizations.
Governance Responsibilities
Lead architectural governance for messaging and streaming platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and best practices.
Run and participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARB), enforcing architectural integrity, compliance, and solution consistency.
Own and evolve platform guardrails, including topic/queue governance, schema evolution, endpoint security, resilience patterns, and lifecycle policies.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure Governance to ensure cloud‑native messaging and streaming solutions meet regulatory and audit expectations.
Define and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and playbooks for messaging, streaming, and event-driven integration.
Strategic Influence and Enablement
Influence product and capability strategy by aligning platform roadmaps with business priorities.
Guide teams on best practices for API design, event-driven patterns, message contracts, data streaming, and real-time integration.
Drive operational excellence by ensuring observability, monitoring, and readiness across messaging and streaming ecosystems.
