Principal Full Stack Engineer – AI Technology

We are looking for an experienced Principal Full Stack Engineer to build scalable AI capabilities for Fidelity Wealth. In this role, you will partner with business, product, architecture, data, and platform teams to turn Wealth priorities into secure, reliable solutions that help advisors work more effectively and improve customer experiences.

- Strong technical judgment and the ability to navigate evolving technology landscapes.

- Experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- A test-first approach and commitment to quality engineering practices.
- Clear communication skills and the technical depth to lead meaningful design discussions.
- A track record of mentoring engineers, owning issues, and delivering end-to-end solutions.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 8 plus years of software engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 6 plus years of experience.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns for scalable, resilient systems.
- Proven experience with at least one modern language, such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a growth mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, embrace feedback, and deliver on commitments.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
