Leadership Triangle
This is a 20 hour/week internship, running from August 24, 2026–December 11, 2026. This internship is hybrid; 10-15 hours will be completed in-office in Raleigh (2619 Western Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27606) and 5-10 hours may be completed remotely. A personal vehicle is required. This internship is a part of the Emerging Leaders Program, a partnership between Capitol Broadcasting Company and Leadership Triangle.
Job Description
We're seeking a proactive, organized, and community-minded intern to support our corporate and community engagement efforts at CBC. This role offers hands-on experience in partnership development, volunteer coordination, marketing, event support, and data-driven impact measurement. The intern will also gain exposure to social media strategy, internal communications, and how a diversified company collaborates across divisions to activate community partnerships and sponsorships.
What You'll Do

Assist with corporate and community engagement projects connecting businesses, sponsors, and nonprofit partners

Support development, marketing, and logistics for volunteer and community involvement opportunities

Contribute to corporate sponsorship engagement and activation across divisions

Support event planning and logistics for engagement activities and meetings

Help develop and track social media strategy and content that highlights partnerships and community stories

Collaborate on internal communications to celebrate milestones and strengthen employee engagement

Track and analyze engagement metrics and conduct research on partnership best practices

Performs other duties as required or assigned, provided they are reasonably related to the responsibilities outlined in this job description
Requirements

The Emerging Leaders Program:
The Emerging Leaders Program is open to rising Juniors and Seniors at North Carolina Central University and Shaw University. There are multiple internships at Capitol Broadcasting Company offered through the Emerging Leaders Program; please only apply to one internship.
As a part of this internship, you will complete 40 hours of leadership training with Leadership Triangle. Your hours with Leadership Triangle are a paid component of the program and all sessions are mandatory. You will be introduced to leaders throughout the Triangle community and have opportunities to network and grow your professional community. All students who successfully complete the Emerging Leaders Program will be admitted into the lifelong Goodmon Fellowship.
Additionally, you will take part in a mandatory cohort-only retreat in Rocky Mount, NC. The retreat is scheduled for Saturday, September 26 - Sunday, September 27. Leadership Triangle has arranged lodging. Meals will be provided. Emerging Leaders are expected to arrange their own transportation.
Emerging Leaders will be paid $16/hr. Additionally, each intern will receive $80/month as a transportation stipend. If you do not have your own car, you will likely spend more on transportation than is covered by the stipend. Leadership Triangle will administer all payments. This is a cohort based program, designed to promote networking across local HBCUs.
