Position Overview
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The primary functions of BRITE are to train BS, MS and PhD students and carry out hypothesis-driven research to fulfill NCCU’s mission to evolve into a strong research organization in biotechnology area
Primary Purpose of Position
The Biomanufacturing Research Institute and Technology Enterprise (BRITE) at North Carolina Central University, will lead a coalition of HBCU/HAIUs, the first of its kind in NC, in the deployment of regional bioprocessing training hubs to address workforce equity in biomanufacturing. This project and the Program Manager position directly support BRITE’s workforce development mission.

Ability to understand and follow directions, policies & procedures, and work independently with little direct supervision
Working knowledge of budget management, Excel, and understanding and generating financial statements.
Experience working Microsoft or WebEx collaboration tools.
Ability to learn and use company-specific software (e.g., CAYUSE and Banner)
Minimum Education/Experience
Must have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred but not required.
Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation
