Primary Function of Organizational Unit | To assist sponsors, administrators, faculty and staff with pre award and non-financial post award services related to extramural funding for NCCU. |

Primary Purpose of Position | The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the administrators, faculty, staff and sponsors with pre award services related to extramural funding for North Carolina Central University. The pre-award administrator explains, interprets and implements, university, state and federal regulations related to grant activities. This position assists the campus with several areas of research administration including but not limited to: proposal submissions, award execution, and various agency requests. |

Minimum Education/Experience | Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or and equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

Duties | Accurately prepare budget allocation packages for new awards based on the grant agreement, and assist in the processing of pre-award and non-financial post-award sponsored research related activities for all projects managed by OSRP. |
