Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The NCCU Department of Athletics’ primary purpose is to provide leadership for an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics program. The NCCU Department of Athletics places the highest priority on a quality academic and athletic experience as part of the overall education of student-athletes. The Department of Athletics seeks to strengthen the integration of the athletics program objectives with academic development objectives. |

Primary Purpose of Position | The primary purpose of the Development Director includes direct and indirect oversight of athletics development, corporate sponsor and partner operations. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Proven skills in meeting goals for contributions, corporate sponsorships and major gifts for an Intercollegiate Athletics program. The candidate must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills. Preferred experience in using Raiser’s Edge, ticketing system software, and Adobe software packages. |
Minimum Education/Experience | The qualified candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree. Master’s preferred. Must have at least five years’ experience in athletics marketing and development. |
