Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The Office of Institutional Research and Analysis operates primarily as the central unit for collecting, processing, analyzing, interpreting, reporting and maintaining official (historical) university data. The Office provides data, information, tools, and resources to the University community to support management planning and decision-making. |

Primary Purpose of Position | Provides professional planning, coordination, and development in support of school/college-level accreditation goals and objectives. Continually monitors progress toward defined objectives by collecting and analyzing data and communicating with faculty, staff, and other constituents. Interfaces with technical personnel, academic administrators, external accrediting bodies, and other partners to ensure accurate compilation, retention, and submission of data. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Knowledge of assessment methodologies, practices, and principles. Knowledge of program or professional accreditation requirements and practices Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community Knowledge of continuous quality improvement management principles and practices Advanced research, analytical, critical thinking, and report writing skills Ability to synthesize and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare and present reports effectively Database management skills Project management skills |
Minimum Education/Experience | Masters degree in public policy, economics, business, education, sociology, data science or statistics required, doctoral degree in related fields Five years’ experience supporting at least one professional or program-level accreditation process, or three years’ experience managing at least one professional or program-level accreditation process in a higher education setting, including using an electronic assessment management system, such as Taskstream Three years’ experience in research design, data collection and retrieval, statistical analysis and reporting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required, preferred in a higher education setting. |
