Soft skills required include problem solving, having an eye for detail and a knack for organization, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires an associate or bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience and two years’ experience in resolving customers’ inquiries, requests, or system problems which includes researching issues, analyzing data, deciphering information; or processing data change requests within an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system such as Banner, Workday, or SAP.

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the HR Information Systems unit in the Office of Human Resources. The Human Resources Specialist will assist with data collection and data entry from HR systems responsible for capturing and processing employee information. These include applicant tracking, position management, (raises, promotions), training, pay and benefits (retirement savings, vacation, leave), and voluntary or involuntary termination systems.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The specialist will also be instrumental in helping to administer the payroll processing of all employees, including student workers, in the Banner Payroll system in accordance with University, Office of State Human Resources (OSHR) and University of North Carolina – General Administration (UNC-GA) polices.
Work Hours Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm
