Position Overview
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
Provide excellent instruction to BRITE students and researchers for area of biomanufacturing and drug discovery. Successfully train NCCU students so they are competitive in seeking biomanufacturing and Biotech R&D industrial jobs. Support the research infrastructure in BRITE to ensure adequate training opportunities for students and to facilitate student-faculty collaboration.
Primary Purpose of Position
The goals for this position are to facilitate teaching and research for BRITE faculty.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The person in this position is expected to support BRITE’s mission of training and research in the areas of biomanufacturing and drug discovery and neuroscience .will achieve the following duties/objectives: 1) Facilitate student and researcher use of the BRITE microscope suite (fluorescence, confocal, brightfield), 2) Participate in teaching and manage fermentation equipment for the bioprocess and cell culture laboratory course in BRITE, 3) Assist students and researchers with data analysis. 4) Assist in teaching bioprocessing course.5) perform research experiments as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience
Applicant should have a B.S. or M.S. in sciences related discipline, such as Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry. 2-3 years experience in Lab work

Assist in teaching lab module research courses, bioprocessing lab course and conduct research experiment as assigned by the supervisor.
Function Instructional
Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function.
Teach laboratory courses in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Program related to Bioprocessing and Biomanufacturing, special topics, and support the mission of the department and BRITE institute to train the next generation workforce for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The candidate will contribute to mentoring activities, which include mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and participation in supervising students research projects and conduct research experiments as assigned by the supervisor.
