| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The Division of Research and Sponsored Programs (DRSP) at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) oversees research activities, focusing on acquiring external funding, managing grants, fostering scholarly work, regulatory research compliance, and acceleration and commercialization of research-derived innovation. The Division is comprised of research institutes – JLC-BBRI and BRITE as well as the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs and Office of Research Compliance & Technology Transfer. |
| Primary Purpose of Position | Research Scientist – Community Engagement & Applied Population Health will support the programmatic objectives of the Duke- CTSA award. |

| Minimum Education/Experience | Doctorate (PhD, DrPH, ScD, or equivalent) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Behavioral/Social Sciences, Community Psychology, Sociology, or related field. |
