| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The purpose of the University Registrar is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all student academic records, admissions, and registration information. Inherent in that function is the responsibility of disseminating information from those records as needed but within compliance guidelines established both by law (such as the Buckley Amendment, FERPA – Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and by University policy. |
| Primary Purpose of Position | The University Registrar is a senior administrative officer responsible for managing all facets of student records, registration, academic scheduling, and policy compliance. They ensure the integrity of academic data, oversee graduation, enforce institutional policies, and manage student information systems. This position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and is responsible for assisting with overall management of records and registration activities for students and alumni. The University Registrar serves on a variety of campus committees including the Academic Planning, Commencement, University Undergraduate Council, and Enrollment Management. |
