| Primary Purpose of Position | North Carolina Central University seeks a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven leader to serve as Associate Vice Chancellor for Military Affairs. This senior-level position provides executive leadership to advance military-affiliated student success, expand Department of Defense (DoD) research and partnership opportunities, and serve as the Chancellor’s principal advisor on military affairs and related strategic initiatives. The Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) will align institutional priorities with federal, state, and military partners to strengthen NCCU’s role as a leading HBCU serving military-connected students while enhancing research capacity and career pathways aligned with national defense and workforce needs. |
