| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The NCCU Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) helps facilitate the University’s mission of research, teaching and service by ensuring health, safety, emergency management, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The group enables and empowers NCCU to adopt a culture of pride and professionalism in which innovation, discovery, and positive change are fully supported by safety professionals. |
| Primary Purpose of Position | The Environmental Health & Safety Program Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and administration of Environmental Health & Safety programs and initiatives. The position provides operational support through inspections, assessments, documentation, corrective-action management, training support, stakeholder coordination, and implementation of assigned EHS activities. The position assists the University in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and risk-reduction objectives. Assignments may vary based on departmental priorities, operational needs, and institutional risk. |
