| Primary Purpose of Position | The Director of Development is responsible for advancing philanthropic support for the School of Business by identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospective major gift donors. The position manages a portfolio of prospects with a primary focus on building and strengthening the pipeline of major gift opportunities of $25,000 and above and increasing private support for the school’s strategic priorities. The Director of Development works collaboratively with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development, Dean, department heads, faculty, staff, and volunteer advisory boards to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies and donor engagement opportunities. The position participates in regular formal strategy meetings with the Dean and Assistant Vice Chancellor to assess fundraising priorities, evaluate prospect activity, and coordinate development efforts. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development, the Director plays a key role in expanding philanthropic partnerships and securing resources that support the mission and strategic goals of the School of Business. |
