| Primary Purpose of Position | The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development provides senior-level strategic leadership for advancing North Carolina Central University’s fundraising priorities and philanthropic goals. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement and serving as a member of the senior leadership team, the position works closely with university senior administrators, department leadership, and advancement colleagues to secure financial support for institutional priorities. The Assistant Vice Chancellor manages a portfolio of approximately 70–90 prospects, develops and implements individualized fundraising strategies, cultivates and strengthens donor relationships, solicits gifts primarily in excess of $25,000, and ensures effective donor stewardship. The position also provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight to a team of 5–7 Directors of Development, supporting the coordination and execution of comprehensive fundraising initiatives that advance the University’s mission and strategic objectives. |
