| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The Facilities Services Department reports directly to the Associate Vice-Chancellor for Facilities Management and is responsible for providing housekeeping services throughout NCCU campus. |
| Primary Purpose of Position | The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine housekeeping and custodial services to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary University buildings and facilities. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and waxing floor surfaces; cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms; replenishing paper products and soap supplies; emptying trash receptacles; moving furniture; performing high and low dusting; and cleaning custodial equipment. The position may also assist with snow and ice removal during inclement weather and other facility-related duties as needed. In addition, the position provides custodial support for special University events and functions, including commencement, convocation, homecoming, and other campus activities, to ensure facilities are properly prepared and maintained. |
