| Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The NCCU Department of Athletics’ primary purpose is to provide leadership for an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics program. The NCCU Department of Athletics places the highest priority on a quality academic and athletic experience as part of the overall education of student-athletes. The Department of Athletics seeks to strengthen the integration of the athletics program objectives with academic development objectives. |
| Primary Purpose of Position | The Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance is responsible for the organization, administration, and oversight of the Athletics Department’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) compliance program. This position oversees student-athlete eligibility certification and the processing of financial aid, monitors coaches’ activities to ensure adherence to NCAA rules and regulations, and provides comprehensive rules education and guidance to departmental staff and coaches. The Senior Associate Director works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and ensure the Athletics Department’s policies, procedures, and activities remain consistent with applicable NCAA requirements. |
