Position Overview

As a Secuirty Engineer within PNC's Security Data Protection organization. You may be based in a remote location. This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

Required Skills:
1. Protegrity Tokenization or other Tokenization Experience.
2. Extensive Database Experience (SQL (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
3. Hadoop/ Cloudera experience for troubleshooting.
4. Linux.
5. Linux Bash shell scripting.
6. Perl scripting.
7. Ansible.
8. PowerShell.
9. Excel functions (like vlookup, xlookup,…), pivot tables, importing tables from CSV files.
10. Excel Macros.

Good to Have:
1. Cloud Containers.
2. DB - Ability to recognize how a DB is constructed to be able to join tables and analyze the data.
3. Read and understand Java code.
4. SSH Keys (how they work and what makes them fail).
5. SSH certificates.
6. SSH-keygen (command used when working with SSH keys and SSH certificates).

Job Description

  • Provides subject matter expertise when applying security concepts. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain technology solutions. Responsible for deliverables related to project timelines.
  • Responsible for working with architecture to take high level architectural designs and determine the specifics around implementation details (ex: sizing) integration details, onboarding and operationalization.
  • Evaluates patches, updates, and ongoing maintenance. Determines impacts to existing solutions when new standards are implemented. Utilizes change control and other governance processes to ensure alignment of solutions .
  • Develops detailed implementation, configuration, design, and engineering documentation. Build and implement solutions.
  • Works with operational partners to enable transition and day-to-day supportability.
  • Provides engineering support to existing technology in a production environment and collaborating with other groups as required. Seeks opportunities to grow a broad knowledge base to complement specific subject matter expertise.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $65,000.00 – $187,200.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
