Saint Augustine’s College, a historically black Episcopal college (HBCU) in Raleigh, North Carolina, offers varied and experiential learning opportunities. A four-year college, St. Augustine grants bachelor’s degrees in such subject areas as Pre-Medicine, Computer Science, Business, Journalism, Social Sciences, Theatre, History, Military Science and a number of others. St. Augustine is particularly known for its Gateway Lifelong Learning program, which provides non-traditional learning opportunities for adult learners. The Gateway program is accelerated, with classes meeting in the evenings. St. Augustine also offers interdisciplinary majors, allowing students to combine two fields of study. Individualized majors and in-depth studies are some of St. Augustine’s other varied academic approaches. With a hands-on approach to learning, St. Augustine provides students with internship and community service opportunities so that students may apply and expand upon what they’ve learned while serving others. St. Augustine’s student life includes an active Greek life, numerous athletic teams, and student clubs and organizations. Financial aid options may be discussed with a financial aid counselor at the school.
