Clean Energy Plan Intern
We are seeking a Clean Energy Planning Intern to join our Climate Capital Team!
Are you interested in advancing energy efficiency and sustainable operations? The Climate Capital team is seeking an intern to support the implementation of Self-Help's Clean Energy Plan, which details a pathway to pursue an organizational goal of achieving net zero emission operations by 2030. This work involves utility data management, building energy efficiency improvements, solar investments, and greenhouse gas accounting The Climate Capital team more broadly works in coordination with teams across consumer lending, commercial lending, secondary markets, community engagement, facilities, real estate, and more to build climate investments and integrate sustainable operations across the organization.
WHAT You’ll Do:
Support project implementation to capture utility data and provide reports
Assist with evaluating greenhouse gas reporting packages
Help track progress and reporting on the installation of solar arrays on our retail branch locations
Conduct data analysis and sustainability assessments
Assist with stakeholder conversations that help identify sustainability needs and priorities
Support other special projects and duties, as needed
WHAT You’ll Need:
Undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduates welcome to apply
Demonstrate a sincere interest in non-profit work, education, advocacy, or social work
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
An enthusiasm for learning
Strong attention to detail
