Department: Academic Affairs
Purpose of Department:
The Office of Academic Affairs provides leadership and services to promote academic excellence and student success. Committed to the undergraduate liberal arts tradition, Academic Affairs prepares students from diverse backgrounds to excel through rigorous interdisciplinary inquiry and immersive learning. We support a student-centered approach among our faculty and staff.
Summary of Position:
The Institutional Effectiveness and Research Coordinator provides key support to functions related to institutional data collection and analysis, external reporting, and ongoing assessment initiatives.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform key research projects in response to institutional needs and to support institutional decision making.
  • Administer end of course evaluations and other university-wide assessments (e.g., NSSE, SSI, PSOL).
  • Coordinate official census reporting.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports, prepare summary reports and monitor trends.
  • Contribute to efforts related to student success, progression, and graduation.
  • Oversee the survey administration calendar and coordinate with campus constituencies.
  • Assist with external reporting, including IPEDS, NCHED, CDS, NCAA, US News Best Colleges, College Board, and others.
  • Provides support for accreditation processes as requested.
  • Share institutional research data and assessment information with the campus community as directed.
  • Contribute to the development of the University Fact Book.
  • In collaboration with the Director, lead the Institutional Effectiveness process for administrative units, providing support around the development of outcomes, metrics, and the continuous improvement process. Collaborate as needed with the Director of Faculty Development and Immersive Learning to support academic program assessment.
  • Assist with Program Reviews as requested.
  • Provide support to Peace departments regarding data collection and analysis.
  • Serve on campus committees as appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA standards.
  • Collaborate with campus partners and respond to ongoing data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work effectively with a diverse population of employees, students, vendors, visitors, and guests.
  • Perform other job-related duties and projects assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field and relevant higher education experience; proficiency in student information systems and reporting and data analysis tools.
