| Purpose of Department: | The mission of the department of Building and Grounds at William Peace University is to create and support a well-maintained campus infrastructure and to provide the highest quality service in a responsive and efficient manner to all our students, staff, faculty and visitors. |
| Summary of Position: | The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and journeyman-level repair of William Peace University facilities from multiple trade areas including: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry. The Maintenance Technician also performs basic vehicle maintenance and grounds-keeping work as needed to ensure that university vehicles and grounds are maintained appropriately. Reporting to the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Facilities, the Maintenance Technician functions independently performing tasks received through an online work order system and from direction given by the AVP. The Maintenance Technician collaborates with the AVP, vendors, and contractors as required on complex and unusual maintenance requests and problems. |
