Job Title: Mortgage Loan Officer

Position Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Summary:

The outside sales Mortgage Loan Officer makes sales calls and develops leads through personal contacts outside of and away from Coastal's main office and branch locations. This role works independently to identify sources of potential mortgage loans with a focus on construction-to-perm and spends extensive time in the community on a regular basis meeting personally with non-affiliated realtors, builders, potential and established contacts, interacting with members and employees, and attending community events in order to build and maintain the loan pipeline.

As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:

• (80%) Making outside sales calls, soliciting new business, and networking with realtors, builders, and consumer networking groups; meeting personally with referral sources; attending community events and business functions such as Regional Association of Realtors events and Home Builders Association meetings; and meeting with other identified resources to generate mortgage loan production, meet your production goals, and maintain recurring sources of referrals for new opportunities.

• (10%) Supporting the branches with all their construction-to-permanent mortgage needs and ensuring employees have the information they need to be comfortable discussing mortgage loan opportunities with members.

• (10%) Collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to complete mortgage transactions and providing exceptional service to our members by building rapport, meeting their needs, and promoting all services offered by Coastal.

Experience:

• At least five years of single-family mortgage production experience, preferably in construction lending

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; related bachelor's degree preferred
