Job Title: Loan Servicing Specialist Sr.

Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid role. Must live local to the Raleigh area.

Job Summary:

The Loan Servicing Specialist builds relationships with our internal and external customers as they respond to inquiries, provide information, handle loan servicing requests for existing loans, and resolve issues.

As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:

(25%) Handling loan review and maintenance:

• Handling account review, maintenance, and loan transactions, revisions, or check requests
• Changing due dates and handling substitution of collateral
• Providing loan payoff projections and processing payoff requests
• SCRA Processing
• Loan projection

(25%) Handling auto loans:

• Handling auto transfer record loan payments
• Administering titles/DMV Collateral processing for direct and dealer loans
• Processing DMV fees
• Approving requests for vehicle transport
• Following up on dealer payoff check shortages
• Handling accelerated title transactions
• Verifying data on insurance repair
• Handling total loss claims

(25%) Managing credit issues and loan close-out processes:

• Processing home equity loan line of credits, releasing deeds when paid off, and closing second mortgage paid/closed loans
• Processing claims for life and disability insurance and managing deceased accounts
• Writing off closed end loans with balance equal/less than $10 and closing line of credit with zero balance and/or zero credit limit
• Handling credit report disputes
• Monitoring and closing delinquent loans over 60 days past due, canceling delinquent credit limits, and providing adverse action notices
• Contributing your knowledge pertaining to loans, products, and tax reporting/corrections
• Analyzing, understanding, and recalculating payments, dividends, and interest on loans and share accounts

(15%) Assisting with sales and quality control:

• Selling GAP policies and filing claims.
• Verifying and auditing tax forms
• Handling fraud or incorrect funding account loan transfers
• Monitoring Medallion Signature Guarantee certifications

(10%) Stock administration and loan amenities:

• Handling stock loan administration
• updating stock values
• Monitoring/verifying stock loan values
• Servicing and monitoring collateral protection insurance
• Handling substitution of collateral
• Selling participation loans

• Three years of loan servicing experience

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; two-year related degree preferred
