Job Title: Software Integration Design Architect
Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid Position, must live locally.
Job Summary:
The Software Integration Design Architect designs, implements, and maintains systems that connect various software applications, databases, and systems to enable seamless data exchange and collaboration. Key skills include deep knowledge of integration technologies, software development principles, and project management.
As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:
- (40%) Designing Integration Architectures: In a buy-first enterprise architecture, optimizing end-user experiences; developing blueprints for connecting disparate systems, considering factors like data formats, protocols, and security; and staying up-to-date on technologies, standards, and best practices for software integration.
- (20%) Implementing integration solutions: Translating architectural plans in a financial services organization into working systems, involving coding, configuration, and testing solutions.
- (10%) Ensuring system stability, performance, and optimal end-user experience: Designing and monitoring integrated systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance resulting in optimal end-user experiences.
- (10%) Collaborating with stakeholders: Working with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- (10%) Collaborating with other teams: Working with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure successful integration.
- (10%) Documenting: Creating comprehensive documentation for integration architectures, processes, and solutions. Reviewing runbooks, creating reference architectures and guidelines for software integration.

Experience:
- Five years of experience in:
- Software engineering principles, programming languages, and development methodologies such as Python, SQL, C++
- Implementing security protocols, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
- Integrating tools & technologies proficiency with integration platforms, middleware, APIs, and other relevant tools typical to a financial services organization
- Leading analysis of complex problems, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions
- Communicating with technical and non-technical partners
- Three years of experience in:
- Implementing various database systems, data modeling (canonical), and data warehousing
- Cloud computing experience with cloud platforms and their integration capabilities (Google, Azure, AWS, Salesforce)
- Network protocols and familiarity with communication protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, and UDP
- Preferred:
- Three years' experience with project Management including planning, organizing, and managing integration projects
- Three years' experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions
Education:
- Related technology bachelor's degree or four additional years of experience in lieu of degree
