Job Title: Indirect Processor

Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid role - must live locally.

Job Summary:

The Indirect Auto Loan Processor plays a critical role in reviewing, validating, and finalizing auto loan packages submitted through Coastal's indirect lending network. This role verifies loan documents and identification, completes required file updates, funds loans within Coastal's loan origination system, and manages daily balancing activities. The processor also collaborates with our indirect partners and members by communicating clearly, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive lending experience from application to funding.

As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:

(65%) Application Review & Validation

  • Review and validate incoming auto loan packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Coastal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify borrower identification, income stipulations, and all supporting loan documentation.
  • Identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure files meet standards for funding.
  • Maintain adherence to internal procedures, compliance requirements, audit expectations, and quality standards.
  • Support fraud‑prevention initiatives by recognizing patterns, documenting concerns, and reporting recurring dealer or application issues.

(20%) Funding & System Processing

  • Accurately fund approved loans in Coastal's loan origination system (LOS) within established service-level expectations.
  • Ensure all system inputs and financial transactions are accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Prioritize workload effectively to meet turnaround times and operational deadlines.
  • Reconcile daily funding activity and promptly resolve variances.

(15%) Relationship Management

  • Communicate professionally with dealers and internal teams to clarify document requirements, resolve questions, and support timely funding.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with indirect lending partners to foster trust and operational efficiency.
  • Provide consistent, service‑focused support that reflects Coastal's commitment to dealer and member experience.

Experience:

  • One year of financial institution experience
  • Indirect Lending experience preferred

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
